Artist Statement

Through interdisciplinary visual arts (design, artist books, sculpture, digital art, printmaking, screen printing and photography), I illustrate a unique perspective on the contrast between heavy topics and light and playful; feelings and emotions dealing with happy childhood memories, trauma, healing and growth, This allows the viewer to insert themselves into my work. It gives them the opportunity to dialogue, experience pain, joy, happiness, anger, joy or whichever emotion may come up for them.


Bio

Nora is a Mexican-American artist with an extensive health sciences and fashion design background, from the University of Washington and Seattle Central College, respectively. She is in the process of obtaining a Fine Arts Degree from North Seattle College. Her work has has been shown at the North Seattle Art Gallery. She has participated on the North Seattle Student Artist Panel as a guest Spring 2020 . She has experience designing women's contemporary wear. She is currently a working artist living in Munich, Germany.
